Lawrenco is an independent artist born and raised in Vienna, Austria. He started his musical journey with a ten-track EP titled “Repetitive Beats” which he wrote and produced during the COVID-19 pandemic. Each song on the EP was accompanied by a music video or visualizer. Music critics described Lawrenco’s debut EP as a captivating blend of electronic influences and hip-hop, praising his distinctive sound, self-produced beats, vocals, and attitude. The EP was released in early 2021.

His single “Nightcrawler” an anthem for nights and parties, became Lawrenco’s first significant hit, receiving airplay on one of austrias largest radio stations FM4. The song perfectly captures the desire of young people who long to experience the joy of partying once again. Lawrenco explains that he wrote the song during a time when all the clubs were closed, intensifying his desire for music, dancing, and collective experiences.

Lawrenco had the opportunity to showcase his performance skills on the main stage of Donauinselfest 2022, one of Europe’s largest free-entry festivals.

In September 2022, Lawrenco released his debut album “Mondlicht” the culmination of a year’s worth of work. The album comprises 13 self-produced tracks, including an intro and an interlude, taking listeners on a cosmic journey through Lawrenco’s artistic vision. It begins with soft, melodic synthesizer pop and gradually transitions into an up-tempo club sound, demonstrating Lawrenco’s versatility.

Lawrenco’s album “Mondlicht” not only garnered critical acclaim but also propelled him to perform sold-out shows.

Lawrenco infuses his songs with his personal emotions and thoughts. For example, his track “Komm zu mir” explores the theme of a long-distance relationship. Rumor has it that this song has already gained popularity in renowned scene clubs such as Berghain, Grelle Forelle, Institut für Zukunft, and DasWerk shortly after its release.

One of Lawrenco’s notable songs, “Sterne” delves into the subject of mental health, providing a transparent reflection of Lawrenco’s own emotions.

Furthermore, Lawrenco collaborated with the well-known Hard-Techno DJ “NIEREICH” under his alias Primitive Remains, showcasing his versatility and ability to work across different genres.

Lawrenco works together with vocal coach DERGRUBE, known for his collaboration with artists like Kelvyn Colt, Wavvyboi, TJ_Beastboy, and Dat Adam.

Just as emotions vary, Lawrenco’s songs defy categorization. He describes his style as a fusion of rap, techno, and cloud-pop. His appearance is also unpredictable, ranging from striking red hair to white-blond or even wearing a mask. Lawrenco consistently manages to surprise his audience. His self-produced videos and stage visuals exhibit a high level of professionalism, reflecting his background in Creative Computing from the University of the Arts – London, as well as his extensive experience in creating music videos.

Currently, Lawrenco is pursuing a master’s degree in Songwriting and Production at the renowned Berklee College of Music in New York and working on new music.
